Noun 0 by The Most Famous Artist
100’ x 60’ cast concrete sculpture, pixelated block field with integrated fountain
Some artworks live in memory. Others live in the land itself. Noun 0 by The Most Famous Artist is both—a monumental 100-by-60-foot concrete sculpture, a gathering space, and a digital-native icon made permanent in stone.
The work references Noun 0, the very first NFT minted by the Nouns DAO, a decentralized art collective whose pixelated characters have become emblems of internet-era culture. Here, the pixels are no longer digital—they’re concrete blocks, each three feet by three feet, arranged at varying heights to form a walkable landscape. The result is part plaza, part pixel field, part ruin-in-reverse: an artwork built not to vanish in the blockchain, but to endure in the desert.
At its center runs a water feature—a fountain that transforms the installation into a social space, echoing the ancient role of the well or town square. Visitors can climb, sit, or gather among the blocks, turning the sculpture into both artwork and commons.
Visible from satellite imagery, Noun 0 is The Most Famous Artist’s most ambitious project to date. It plays at the intersection of internet and infrastructure, asking: what does it mean to immortalize a meme in concrete? What happens when digital culture is not ephemeral, but geological?
In a landscape of steel, wood, and light, Noun 0 stands apart—stoic, permanent, pixelated. Built to outlast us all, it is both monument and message: proof that what begins as play on the internet can take root in the earth, long after we are gone.
